SARS-CoV-2 NHP efficacy model is now available!

Cynbiose has developed an efficacy model on the African Green Monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops) that shows SARS-CoV-2 replication in the oropharynx, nasal cavity and lungs as well as  mild symptoms (body temperature, neutrophilia, monocytosis, lung subacute or acute inflammation).

• Infection is carried out using a realistic method : intranasal and intratracheal pulverization,
• Different strains are available for the infectious challenge : Primary strain, various European D614G variants, UK variant,  South-African variant,
• Viral load can be monitored by RT-qPCR and TCID50 from the upper or lower airways or from any organ collected post-necropsy,
• The post infection monitoring period can range from 7 to 21 days depending on your scientific objectives.

The COVID-19 model is also available in the cynomolgus.
