Innovative NHP stroke model: a new scientific publication in JCBFM.
29 May 2020We are very proud to announce the publication of the our latest preclinical model of stroke.
Central to Dr Océane Wateau (Cynbiose) thesis was the establishment of a minimally invasive non-human primate model of cerebral ischemia (Macaca fascicularis) based on an endovascular transient occlusion and recanalization of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) and the implementation of neurological read-outs.
This innovative approach was also supported by PET-MRI imaging in addition to acute and chronic neuro-functional assessment.
The thesis was directed jointly by Cynbiose and Pr Denis Vivien’s team (UNICAEN, INSERM UMR-S 1237, “Physiopathology and Imaging of Neurological Disorders”, Institut Blood and Brain @ Caen Normandie, GIP Cyceron, Caen, France).
This innovative and unique efficacy model was made possible thanks to the close collaboration with several renowned academic teams within the framework of the RHU Marvelous project.
Please contact us for more information on this model and for the preclinical evaluation of your candidates.
